SAS software is used to face the most pressing challenges by many industries, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, health and medicine, financial services, telecommunications, retail, public sector, transportation, manufacturing and others. The latest version of SAS, SAS 9, defines a new generation of business intelligence.
This hands-on program will teach students how to use the most important statistical and graphical techniques and implement them in the SAS programming language/platform. The student will learn SAS files (libraries, data files, catalogs), how to create a SAS data set (using data from non-SAS files as well as data from existing data sets), how to modify existing SAS data sets, and how to combine existing SAS data sets. Each student will be able to write a
SAS program which can obtain data from several different sources, create SAS data sets and libraries.
Instructors will bring in class real life projects from a variety of businesses. Upon successful completion of this program students will be ready to assume SAS programmer position in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical or financial industries.
