The Objective of the Medical Assistant Program
is to train students to acquire satisfactory
skills and demonstrate competence in a variety of
medical office procedures and laboratory techniques
under the direct supervision of the physician.
The medical procedures and lab techniques include:
injections, EKG's, vital signs, urinalysis,
phlebotomy, assisting in minor surgery and
emergency situations. Front office: typing,
transcription, word processing, patient data
collection, insurance claims processing,
bookkeeping, and billing and collection.
The training program culminates with the Externship.
CSC Institute places the student in a real
health care setting allowing them to utilize
the skills they have learned and to gain practical
experience.

p>Upon Satisfactory completion of the training,
students will be qualified to assume entry level
position as a medical assistant performing the
medical procedures, lab techniques and front
office duties described above.

Graduates will receive a
Diploma. Graduates are eligible to sit for
the Certified Medical Assistant exam and the Phlebotomy
Certification exam.
